Content:
Litany of the saints, with 534 names of individual saints listed in three columns, and several named groups of saints (e.g., confessors), followed by a series of prayer requests (Ut-Sequenz) (presumably a “court-litany” which travelled around with the court of Louis the German (i.e., Louis II or Louis of Bavaria) -- Note the emphasis on St. Nazarius, whose remains were transferred to the monastery church in 765 -- this is the only extant liturgical roll from the carolingian period -- On the reverse, in various hands from late 10th or early 11th century : 1) Missa pro egroto, 2) various orations for the Mass, 3) catalog of the treasury (including the library) of the Salvatorkirche in Frankfurt (11th century according to B. Bischoff), 4) the beginning of a Play of the Three Kings, with neumes (see Interimskommentar, p. 1).
