Two full page miniatures before each gospel. In each case, a verso-recto spread with the evangelist at a lectern under a decorative round arch on the verso, and the evangelist's symbol holding a book also under a round arch on the recto. Wide variety of colors used, with some gold and silver details. Each gospel begins with a decorative initial in the Insular style that is about half the height of the written area.
